I was overdosed with vancimican and it messed up my balance. Is there anything that can be done to help me?

Question: My balance is off all the time, but much worse in the dark. If I walk slowly I"m not too bad, but if I try to keep up with other people I end up walking like I've been drinking. In the dark I have no sense of direction at all. Since this happened I have already fallen once and broken my hip. If anything new has been developed that might help me to regain more control I would be very interested in knowing more about it.
