Anyone have any ideas on what to wear to a party? I haven't been out in ages.?

I won't wear anything sleeveless or with spaghetti straps. I'd love to hear what other people are wearing to parties these days. It's semi-formal. No jeans.I want something cute, flirty and sexy at the same time. But nothing too revealing. I live in NYC, so I have access to almost any store.

Ok, so it's semi-formal. A little black dress is always appropriate. Something in a satin or silk, possibly. I believe party wear should always be festive. So throw on a colorful pair of shoes or carry a brightly colored pursed. Emerald green, pink and purple are great evening accessory colors.
I am sure it's cold up there.so add a faux fur wrap and you are ready to go. In NYC you have the entire fashion world at your finger tips.
If you don't go out often I do not advise investing a lot of money in a dress. Try a Vintage or Resale shop. Those are great places to find the perfect little black ensemble.

I think high-heeled boots are really in.. and a cute pair of slacks but make sure you can still see the boots, a simple top low neck line. then gotta have the jewlery. a nice necklece and some cute earings. you'll look good.
