Why do only 30% of children born to HIV+ mothers contract the virus?

Question:
I would think that babies share everything in utero with their mothers, so why is this risk so low?
Answers:
That's good.As I think it's cause sharing the blood with each others cause bleeding of fetus not always happen but if the maternal blood get with the fetal one so the baby is infected.mabe.oh I forgot to say they don't share everything since there is a mabe membrane separating maternal blood from the fetus one and it doesn't transport everything it's selective.please forgive me if I was wrong.
