How do I prevent my legs from getting swollen after a day standing in my shop?

You could have a circulation problem with lymph fluids or veins. Can you sit down at all? How long do you stand? that swelling sounds pretty bad, have you seen a doctor? I would wear a skirt, or something that doesn't constrict in the thighs, maybe walking shorts. Try to move in place where you are standing, lift each leg up in the air and stretch it, walk in place, stand on tip toes and back down, any movement is good. There are different kinds of support hose that you can wear too but the thigh is hard to fit as some come thigh high and it might cut in if it's not properly fitting. Have you ever had surgery? It could be a case of lymphedema. I would talk to a doctor.
