what is a pinched nerve & is there a treatment?

Question:

only bothers me when i sleep & happens in upper right shoulder - spreads down to elbow at its worse. had lower right lung removed year ago for isolated cancerous tumor. stopped smoking for about 4 mos. now back to about 15 a day. 100 lbs. overweight & have no energy at all. x-rays & bone scans have come back negative. nurse freind has suggested pinched nerve. is there anything else. i am 67 years old. thanks.

Go see a good chiropractic. I had the same problem, (because I slept on that side all for as long as I could remember). Went to a chiropractic on the recommendation of a friend and amazingly after one adjustment the pain was a great deal less and with the second adjustment it was gone completely.

Search online for "Chiropractic Board of Examiners" in your area, or get recommendations from friends/family.

Seeing a chiropractor is a good idea. Most do a wonderful job.

BUT..

If you have had similar experiences before and there is numbness, tingling and hypersensitivity, see your doctor right away. I thought I had a pinched nerve - it turned out to be something much more serious.
