I have to get a ton of shots!1?
Question:
Anyone got any ideas how to help me get through this easily?
Answers:
Ask the doctor to do a blood test to determine your immunity. It may not be possible to check your immunity to all the diseases which now require immunizations, but it IS possible for some to be determined by a blood test. For any immunizations you have to get, be sure you see the vial from which the dosage is taken, and make sure the nurse (or whoever administers the injection) shakes the vial so that the perservatives, one of which is thimerisol (mercury), are distributed throughout. This is especially important for the last few dosages in the vial, since mercury is a heavy metal and settles in liquid. If the nurse refuses your request, go elsewhere. Above all, do not get too many injections at once, even if they tell you it is safe.
Other Answers:
Visit the doctor who gave you the shots--they may have records. If that doesn't help just smile.
OUCH!
Best to just bend over and take it dude.
you shouldn't need to get all the shots all over again. . . go to the doctors office and have them run a check on your ss#. it should pull up all information on your shot records.
Just get them done and don't be such a baby - it's not that bad! And if you're a big brave boy and don't cry, you might even get a lollipop!
Seriously....it's really not that bad! Do you have a phobia of needles or something? They wouldn't give them all at the same time anyway because of potential reactions, and the majority of them are given in your arm, not your butt. Yeah, they might cause a bit of local irritation and pain in the muscles, but it'll only last a couple of days.
