Make sure that you are sitting comfortably, with no constricting clothing. If you have problems holding your mind still with your eyes closed, start off by staring at a point in the room - just to bring your mind present. You may also find it helpful to repeat a mantra - be careful to choose a soundword that holds no meaning for you (as a word with meaning may cause your mind to wander).
