Trouble hearing out of one ear after a cold?
Question:
Answers:
IT SOUNDS LIKE A BLOCKED EUSTACIAN TUBE FROM YOUR EAR INTO YOUR THROAT. GENTLY MASSAGE THE AREA FROM THE DENT BEHIND YOUR EAR, DOWN THE SIDE OF THE JAW TO YOUR THROAT.THERE WILL LIKELY BE A TENDER AREA IN THAT TUBE. YOU CAN ALSO USE A WARM WET WASHCLOTH TO WARM THE AREA AND HOPEFULLY RELEASE THE BLOCKAGE. IF IT DOESN'T RELEASE IN A FEW DAYS, GO TO THE DOCTOR!
Other Answers:
There is probably a build up of fluid in your ear. It should go way with in a couple of days. If is doesn't, go to a doctor. If there is no pain it is probably not an ear infection.
I would contact and Ear, Nose and Throat doctor, and talk to a nurse over the phone. It won't cost you anything and if there is an emergency then they will be able to tell you exacally what to do. Check out WEBMD.com
