I do not believe so. Your eyes will be oversensitive towards light, after that week. It maybe advisable to wear sunglasses at first until your eyes readjust.

No. Its not uncommon for people with bi-lateral (both sides) eye injuiries to wear patches for a long time. Im not sure if two weeks is in the cards though. The muscles that focus your eyes could get weaker causing head-aches and blurry vission for a short time, but as the muscles returned to normal strength, your vision would also return to normal.
