How much marijuana does a heavy/chronic smoker use and how long does it take to get out of his system?

My cousin smoked marijuana for about a 3 weeks and he smoked an average of 2 or 3 hits a day off of a one hitter which gives you a small amount of Marijuana. He quit smoking on April 9th and could possibly be having a drug test on April 17th. Is he safe or not, is there a chart I can find for him that will give him a idea on how long it will take.
