Does "Bactroban Ointment" help on exposed sunburns? Is it safe on them?

Question: I have a sun burn on my face from snowboarding. I shaved and took a lot of skin that wasn't ready to come off, off. Well now it burns and itchs and hurts bad and i have put Neosporin on it but it doesn't seem to help.
Answers:
Bactoban would work if there was an infection. It would do nothing for the pain and itch. I would suggest using something with benzocaine to numb it. Solarcaine cream has benzocaine.

ointments contain oil oil will trap in heat so use something waterbased like aloe vera gel only
