How do I pick a good dentist by just looking at this/her credentials?

I wouldn't totally depend on a company like 1-800-dentist. They are not going to necessarily recommend the best dentist, just dentists that use their service. I would get in contact with you state dental association. They will be able to direct you to a dentist that can help you in your area that has a good reputation. They should know of any complaints made by other patients against the dentists.

A lot of reputable dentist's subscribe to a servie call 1-800-dentist. If you call the number, they can refer you to a good dentist anywhere in the US. And, BTW, the company was started by a guy from RI!
