Will birth control pills work on guys to clear up acne?

Question: I don't know of anyone who wants to try this. It just popped into my head a minute ago when I was answering a question. I guess the real core question would be is there a difference between the causes of acne in men and women and what are they?

No. The root cause for acne is the same - a hormone imbalance, but the birth control pills will introduce female hormones, causing a further imbalance, and possible illness in males.
