has anyone heard of missing a period when first starting a cycle on Ovcon 35 birth control pills?

I did not miss any pills, missed period after first pack of Ovcon 35, (switched from orthotricyclen) took urine/drug store test which came out negative. Am I alright? Are those tests reliable? Common to miss a period when starting a new kind of pills?
Answers:
Any type of pills that alter your reproductive hormones can mess your periods up. Like me, I'm on Yasmin and my period started a week early and I'm on my 8th day. not common for me at all! Did you do your week of inactive pills? Give them 3 months and if you're still messed up, I'd talk to your gyn about switching to another kind.
