i had colitus but seemed to be cured. I haven't had any symptoms for 6 years now. I went to a herbal dr. and she gave my "slipery elm" which is a bark from a tree in crushed powder form.
mix in warm water and drink before meals. it coats the intestinal track to prevent food from aggrevating the ulcers.
I have been presciption drug free for 6 years and I don't even take the herbal for the last 6 years either.
over a period of about 6 month's i slowly removed the prescription drugs and replaced with herbal. when i was completely on herbal i slowly decreased that as well until completely free of drugs/herbals.
I now eat/drink what i want. Haven't had a problem since.
Caution: try at your own risk.
