my heart feels funny is there something wrong?
Question:

Have you been taking any diet supplements? Some of these have dangerious side effects that change your heart. I would make a list of every medication your taking <asprin, birth control pills, vitamin C/E/Calcium, and then see your doctor.
EKG can be done. I saw on TV tonight an interesting new "Medical Mystery" <aired on ABC 4-6-06> that some people have this I-T problem with their heart. The EKG can pinpoint this, but you have to have a doctor who's trained in looking for this . the normal eye view isn't enough.
Hope you pinpoint the problem.

It is impossible to come to a diagnosis without further examinations. I would strongly suggest you consult a physician - he or she will be able to order tests such as an electrocardiogram to see what if anything is wrong.
I have had this happen for a long time now. My doctor has told me that a "normal" heartbeat doesn't exist. It's subjective, meaning, what is normal for you, is not normal for me. I have had an EKG, and chest x-rays, and everything looks fine. It can also be caused by anxiety, or too much caffeine. HOWEVER, I AM NOT CERTAIN YOU AND I ARE TALKING ABOUT THE SAME THING, EVEN THOUGH WHAT YOU DESCRIBE SOUNDS FAMILIAR, SO TALK TO YOUR DOCTOR TO MAKE SURE IT IS NORMAL FOR YOU, OK?
p.s. I would describe mine as "rolling over" or skipping a beat. Its like.. thump, thump, thump, thump..thump, thump, thump doesn't happen all the time.
you should see a doctor that sounds like an irregular beat could be serious age is not a matter when somethings wrong
Can't hurt to check it out with a doctor. Sounds like arrythmia, which can be nothing or can be serious.

ya you`r in love .
Does it feel as though it skips a beat and then the next beat feels stronger than usual, like a little thump in your chest? So you feel like there's a pause, and then a thump? If so, you're probably experiencing ventricular ectopic beats, which are normal and experienced by up to 50% of the population to some extent. Some people just notice them more than others. If you find them to be very frequent or troublesome, see your doctor, otherwise they don't need any treatment.
