If you are both in a monagomous relationship, not exposed by other risk factors (i.e., IV drug abuse), have been tested and are negative in all but HPV, then I would proceed to step 2: talk to your doctor.
I suspect your doctor would first want to see any lesions treated/removed.

EXPOSED does not mean that you have it. You can keep having unprotected sex - but you should get a pap smear done every year to catch and treat any problems.
