i am a recovered abuser. no aa or na or anything like that. just pure will power. i knew i wanted to live and had to quit to do it. been clean for almost 15 years.

in my humble opinion..no.the only freedom from addiction is not using today.
Addictions aren't readily solved by yourself. you'd need at least a self help book.

You didn't say who has the addiction, or what it is they're addicted to. But yes, it's definitely possible to beat an addiction (for some people). Some people are stronger than others.
