is coral calcium a healthy substitute for "regular" calcium?
Question:
Anyway, I have coral calcium pills that I've been taking very sporadically and was wondering if I should be more consistent with those and see what happens...
Answers:
coral calcium is pretty much just expensive calcium.
calcium citrate is what you need-- it is the most absorbable form of calcium.
most people need 1000-1500 mg/day.
muscle pain can come from low level dehydration (have you been drinking enuf water/juice/ milk/ etc?) as well as not getting proper calcium & magnesium- these minerals are essential for muscle function.
just take something every day.
sporadic calcium isn't going to help you; take it every day. Be sure it also has Vitamin D, which is necessary for the absorption of calcium.
