Does anyone know a cure for cerebellar ataxia?

Question:
A friend is experiencing this baffling condition and the docs don't know what is causing it. They believe his cerebellum is shrinking causing coordination problems, speech impairment/slurring, unsteady gait. He does not know anyone with the condition. It seems to be progressing and he's been told by docs he could end up in a wheel chair. As a child he had Gilliam Beret disease, a disease that destroys nerve tissue. He was paralyzed at age 13, had therapy and fully recovered. He is now 45 years of age, otherwise healthy--perhaps intolerant of wheat and dairy, but a healthy European male living in the U.S.

Answers:
I have a hereditary form of ataxia. I have been told that there is no cure at this time. I am in a wheel chair. I have found that some things do help. I take a muscle relaxant. I refused to take it at first because ataxia is neurological. However I found that when I stood up( with support )my legs would begin a shaking twitching motion that was very tiring. It also caused muscle cramps -so I tried the muscle relaxant. I hope you have or find a neurologist who understands ataxia. I saw 5 before I found one who knows what I am talking about.

I'm sorry to hear about your friend. Unfortunately, there is no known cure for cerebellar ataxia. Find a doctor who practices alternative health with natural herbal remedies, not a medical doctor. They can most likely help you. There is a natural cure to everything, providing the disease hasnt progressed beyond help.
Yes, I know there are a lot of people who think natural remedies are a hoax, and dont believe in them. But I know from personal experience, they do work. I looked into natural remedies after the medical field and medical treatments failed me.
I dont know much about this particular disease, but I do know there is hope even for rare conditions, and conditions that baffle doctors.
So even if you are cautious to believe in natural remedies, dont completely rule it out. You've already discovered medical doctors cant help, and have no cure, so what do you have to lose by trying an alternative method?
Do a search online for an alternative health therapist in your area, call and talk to them. I wish you luck, and God Bless.
