what do you think of acupuncture?
Question:
Answers:
I tore my rotator cuff and tried every conventional therapy for it with dismal results. Out of near-desparation, I tried accupuncture. The old, wizened Chinese "doctor" treated me once a week for ten weeks. By the end of those ten weeks, my shoulder had recovered about 85% of its mobility, and I was completely pain-free! I don't know exactly how it works, but it sure worked for me and I recommend it.
Other Answers:
Yes my grandma had it does not work do not do it.
amazing. poking needles and yet you don't bleed. A wonderful treatment. Many persons I know have immensly benefitted from it.
Does not have any side effect, is not habit forming, and the illness is removed from its source for the lifetime.
Go aheah. All the best.
It works!
I'll get to the point (!) its at the sharpend(!) of alternative therapy.
Seriously, it works and has done for hundreds of years, it wouldn't be around if it didn't. We in the west are just cotoning on to it now.
Good luck
I couldn't stick it It is Chinese system of puncturing certain points in human body to cure diseases. It may cure minor ailments like migrane, muscular problems etc.Chronic cases it is of no use. Most of achievements of acupuncture is just tall claims, unverfiable.
I tried it for the first time in Taiwan last year. It was a very interesting experience. The acupunturist felt my pulse points and was able to diagnose which area needed treatment eg kidney, liver, etc.
Then he inserted the needles into affected areas/related areas for the treatment. And when the needles have been inserted, we are not to move. We are to relax in that position until he removes the needles. My friend felt stiff and stretched some and after the needles were removed, she had this HUGE bruise where the needles were! She was so shocked. Though it was harmless, it looked bad.
However, one visit to the acupunturist will not help very much if you are trying to treat an ailment. For acupunture to work, it needs regular visits to the acupunturist. Acupuncture (Chinese medicine ) works in a gradual manner.
I don,t get the point. I just don't get the point.
I was sceptical when i first tried it because it seemed a strange idea. But after a few treatments on my joints i found it relieved pain and tension. I would recommend it as an alternative therapy, as long as you are not afraid of needles!
it depends on the prick thats doing it
Works for me! im having it as part of a methadone program its good and helps me to relax but probably depends on what your state of mind is
