Some people will make amazing claims to sell a product. It is called promotional advertizing. There is not enough oversight of this kind of thing and sometimes people selling something abuse it. It is possible that he actually did get well on a juice regimen. The Gerson Diet is basically the same thing and Dr Gerson claimed to be able to cure cancer with it. No real valid proof beyond anecddotal claims exists for this sort of thing. If nothing else is helping it might be worth a try, but I wouldn't bet my life on it.
