do you think that the christian science religion use any type of orthodox medicine at all?

Question: I was reading a case study and it stated that the mom and dad had a little girl that was ill. And could have simply been saved if taken to the doctor. They didnt believe in Orthodox medicine. However the mom and dad used anesthesia several time before for birth,and root canal. Is this right?
