How to deal with Thyroid lump in neck until you have surgury?

I have a big lump in my neck its my thyroid and they have to remove it but holy cow it will take almost a year. And now i cant sleep cuz i cant have my neck towards my chect its uncomfortable and it also to swollow. any ideas how to get over it until i have the surgury?

Oh dear - I am so sorry - it must be dreadful. Can't your doctor help you and why do you have to wait a year? That's atrocious.
I don't know what could help - I had a friend who's thyroid swelled so much that she couldn't talk, but the doctor operated within two weeks. Perhaps get a second opinion here.

Get another doctor ASAP. And a second opinion. They can be cancer or more than one thing. Do not delay hurry now my granddad just got diagnosed with esophagus cancer only symptom he could not swallow all of a sudden.

Try energy healing.. look in alternative magazines. I do energy healing for friends, family, it really works. try it yourself, rub hands together to get the energy flowing. then put your hands on the affected area. Imagine golden light flowing into the area. Imagining green is a good healing color, but not if you have a lump, you don't want it to grow, so imagine pink, like soft pink. flooding the area with light and warmth. I know it sounds wacko, but what do you have to lose? I'm sure there are better answers out there, but this might help a little. do an internet search on energy healing or reiki.. good luck!

i think you should call your doctor first thing in the morning and ask if they will give you emergency surgery!!or just go to the er!!
