Are we always gonna have lower back pain?


Question:
Does anyone else when in bed at night with lower back pain.prop their pillows underneith their back to reverse the pain.and just lay there? Is so,..is this something that is good or bad?

Answers:
Your lower back has a curve that goes toward your stomach. This curve develops when you are learning to walk, and is supposed to be there. In some cases people have too much curve, called hyperlordosis. When this increase in curve occurs, the joints in your spine become squashed and inflammed, giving you back pain. This curve is increased when standing and especially when lying flat on your back because the weight of your legs pushes down on your hip joints, rotating your pelvis forward. This increases that low back curve. Elevating your legs reduces the stress and lessens the curve. Laying on your side with your legs bent will do the same.
To help rid yourself of this, you can increase the tone of your lower abdominal muscles and your hamstring muscles while stretching your low back and quadracepts. This will rotate your pelvis backward and reduce the stress on your back. These exercises are called Williams Exercises. It does take a while of consistant exercise to change your body dynamics though.

yes. I have that as well!
It is sooo anoying. I have it almost all the time but it is most noticable and anoying when I do work that requires a lot of back bending.

I only know a bit but it helps a lot. It is prob likely to completly get rid of it with yoga.
here is the simplest and quickest way to reduce it:
sit on a chair with your back strait, place your right arm left and back a bit from your left knee
put the other arm behind your back, push your right arm right so that your back twists. you know you are successful when you hear some clicks.it is normal. repeat with oposite arms to twist the other way.
I also found, I dont know why, doing neck exercise also helsp it.

I have three herniated disc in my lower back and that is pain. I had pain nightly I did everything. It really hurt to lay down at night nothing was comfortable until I bought one of those memory foam bed toppers at Sam's club for my Queen bed it cost $125 but it was the best thing I ever bought I noticed a difference the first night. I also use Vitalzym it is a natural anti-inflammatory and it has done wonders for the pain during the day as well as a magnet anklet. All these things are no surgery and relatively cheap. Good luck and I hope your back pain gets better. Oh yea and a pillow between your knees takes the pressure off your back. I have a slight scoliosis and I put a pillow under my knees
to flatten my back on the bed to straighten it.
My back pain has much improved since I stopped lifting hay bales. What has worked well for several of my friends is using magnetic products. They address pain and increase circulation among other things. Contact me if you want some sources. One of my friends had a sitdown job and was miserable. The boss wouldn't spring for an ergonomic chair or any other kind of support. He used a magnetic insert that just slipped under his pant's waistband and in just four weeks, no more pain. He doesn't wear it anymore except when he thinks he's going to do heavy lifting.

Magnetics don't work for everyone, but if you're miserable, it's certainly worth a try to see if you're one of those who respond well. I got rid of mine with a patented glucosamine supplement.
