Is 0.25 mg of xanax the lowest dosage one can take (in the form of one single pill)??

Question:

Answers:
.25mg is the lowest dose available. Xanax is a anxiolytic known technically as a benzodiazepine which means it has similar properties as alcohol, so it can be addictive. This is why physicians usually start with a low dose. .25mg is barely anything, and I would not be concerned about taking .25mg as needed for anxiety; however, if you are having reactions or side effects to .25 mg do not break it in half, ask your doctor for a different medication.

Other Answers:
Probably, but you can always split pills in half if you are concerned.
