Do you think Naproxen works?

Question:

I am taking it and I don't think it works. My best friend's mom takes it too and it doesn't work for her either. Is it just us?

Most of my patients that take Napraxen (500 mg) also take Tylenol (1000 mg) along with it. You would need to take it on a full stomach or at least after eating something so it wouldn't eat your stomach lining though.

It works for me. It's different for everybody. Some swear by advil..but taking advil for me is like drinking a glass of water. It doesn't do a darn thing.

It works for the people that I know. Each person is different and the cause of the pain may be different as well. Naproxen and Motrin work best with pain due to swelling. If the pain is not caused by that, then it may not work as well.

Naproxen helped me with my elbow joint pain. It was the only thing that worked. If your taking the over-the-counter medication it is not as high a dose as a prescription would be. Follow the directions properly too. depends on what your taking it for, and if your taking enough.
Works for me.

Before I began using it I did a little research, and found out that before it became OTC, it was mainly prescribed by dentists, which was something I wanted to know-a substantial track record of previous usage. I find it the best, however no pain reliever works for me more than 3 times a week and sometimes I switch.
