drug addiction?
Question:
Answers:
I am a recovering drug addict, clean for over two years now. I go to Narcotics Anonymous. As we say in the program: you HAVE to be only as willing as the dying can be. Pot IS a drug. One of the worst. The destruction, dereliction and death is REAL. In NA, we do it "just for today". You are someone whom I care about deeply. A fellow addict. Please, give yourself a break and find the nearest NA meeting. You don't ever have to use again. Recovery from addiction is real. Anyone can quit using drugs. Drugs are but a symptom of my disease. The problem is ME and my inability to deal with life on lifes terms. please find a meeting.
There are over 38,000 meetings world wide weekly. Look here to locate a meeting in your area:

You have to want to. Then look around you and see how it is affecting your life. Where might you be financially if you wernt buying all that weed? How would you like to do time in the county jail, and loose all that you have, and be embarrasses in front of all you know and respect? How would you feel to get busted? When you are most likely to sit down with your bong find some other way to stay occupied. Keeping busy will help you forget to get high. Chew gum to fight the cravings. take your bong outside and smash it with a hammer. You wont be using it anymore! I use to smoke constantly, I thought Id never quit. But as I got older I began to notice that I didnt seem to get off the couch much. I began to get fat and extremely lazy. I would completly space out sometimes and I began top get pissed off at my own stupidity. I dont even desire it much anymore. although I do occasionaly puff to take the edge off./ Or keep from hurting some body!
This is not at the level of "recreational drug abuse" and more at the level of addiction. You need assistance to get off this volume of smoking.
The first thing you need is the "want to" to get off. There are many reasons that you should.
1. It is still illegal
2. It is very hard on your health
3. It is very hard on the finances
Best wishes on your desire to stop.
try exercising, eating candy
get some hobbies, read a book
swim, soak in a hot tub and ask
for help, try going to church.
"cannabis free" cigarettes are really good for starting to quit, you can get them at your local head shop. Theyre awesome, a tobacco free mix of herbs that helps to detox your body, and curve your desire to smoke pot.
good luck
