Does wearing a copper bangle have any medical benefit?
Question:
Other than causing a weird blue stain around the wrist do these bangles have any legitimate medical benefit?
Answers:
No proven medical benefit whatsoever. But many people will believe almost anything you tell them that sounds vaguely feasible. This makes the snake-oil industry millions every year!
People have believed nonsense about copper bracelets and magnetism forever. In Ben Franklins day, it was believed that placing magnets in the bathtub would "cure" arthritis, so Old Ben, ever the genius, painted some wood to look like magnets, glued it to a bathtub, and proceeded to "cure" the arthritis in a number of folks with these "wooden magnets"!
Copper bangles are pretty, though.
