Has anyone used feverfew successfully for migraine prevention.?

I just started using it because none of the presc. meds for migraine prevention have worked for me. I am chronic. I have them almost everyday or every other day! What alternate meds for pain besides Imitrex..no narcotics, they kill me!

What can you tell me about ASPARAGAS other than the obvious ?

what is the beat way to clean crystals? mine have gathered dust. Will that hinder the power they have?

Yes I use it on a regular bases and IT WORKS I still get a headache but it is not as debilitating as the migraine. On the rare occasion that I do get the full migraine it goes away with in a couple hours. My father also uses it and it works for him too!

IBS and Acupuncture?

Oh how I hate to hear about another migraine sufferer! I truly understand exactly what you are going through -- I am in the same situation, as I have also been diagnosed as having chronic migraines.

I currently use MigreLief, which is a combination of Feverfew, Riboflavin, and Magnesium, and frankly, I can't tell that it helps at all. I have consulted two neurologists over the past 2 years, and both of them prescribed MigreLief, so I am listening to their advice. I take it twice a day, and I guess I won't stop until the migraines STOP. I am afraid that it actually IS helping, and the migraines will become even worse if I don't take it.

As for pain medications, I am so sorry that I have no other suggestions, since you cannot take narcotics. Naproxyn seems to work better for me than Ibuprofen. I have used an ice pack alternating between the back of my neck/skull, and the area around the eye, and it has helped some, though you have probably already tried that.

Hang in there, while we both pray for a cure! In case you aren't aware of them, here are two very helpful websites:

Anyone know where to get any prescriptions pills (online/locally)?

Don't know about feverfew but I have had relief from taking sniffs of oil of Marjoram prepared in a carrier base (I think it's a kind of paraffin). It's part of aromatherapy, relieves tension, works for me! Spearmint or Lavendar are another two oils that might help you.
