NO...I can't imagine why they said that! You should only take it IF you have had a reason like a heart attack or blocked arteries. It is a blood thinner. And then it is only 81 mg per day. It can cause you to have blood clots in your legs if you take it and don't need it. It can kill you. I have seen a patient have a blood clot and almost lose the leg and had to have surgery. This happened because the blood thins and can pool into a clot if you suffer a very minor injury or bruise.This can happen from taking unprescribed aspirin. ***Don't do it without first consulting your Dr***.It can also destroy the lining of the stomach as well as cause stomach ulcers. It was very negligent for Oprah to allow that on her show.
