warm milk should do the trick
You could try to shorten their sleep time during the day, this should help them sleep better at bedtime. Warm milk helps, try a night light.
Check with your child's physician or pharmacist -- you may be able to use benadryl (diphenhydramine hydrochloride) on your children without any adverse effects.

An herbal remedy for children can be: Sleepytime tea, valerian tea, catnip tea, and/or chamomile tea. All of these will ease the children into sleep and won't leave them groggy like Nyquil or Benadryl. They don't have side effects, unless the child is allergic to ragweed.
I tried a product known as the kiko mat which used to be from Japan used for patients in hospitals. More information on it can be found on the website. Additional information needed please feel free to email me at ckh.james@gmail.com
