Hypnotism Fact or Fiction?
Question:
Answers:
Hypnotism has been proven so many times for so many years it is no longer a question. The simplest and most common form is called auto-hypnosis, and I don't mean by a car. However, the most common form of auto-hypnosis is done in an automobile. Have you ever been driving on a long straight boring highway and suddenly realized you don't remember how long you've been driving or where you are? Farther down the road you learned you passed your turn off many miles back. That is why highway lane markers are broken up. To try to avoid auto-hypnosis. Draw a 3' circle on the ground. Place a piece of corn every 6" around it. Place a chicken on the circle. It will walk the circle eating the corn. When it reaches the beginning, it will continue eating air around and around until you pick it up. So you're not a chicken, no matter, same theory.

fact
it is possible, but only for certain people who are good "candidates". i forget the percentage, but only a certain amount of people are the types who can be hypnotized. in order for it to be fully effective as a form of treatment, it is advised that the candidate already be receiving other forms of therapy. for example, if you want to quit alcohol, hypnotism can help if you have already done some other work with a therapist, but it can't do 100% of the job.
