Homeopathic cure is absolute placebo?. is it true?

Question:

Answers:
The placebo effect can help in the case of ANY medicine and even in the case of surgery. They have compared people they did surgery on with people they PRETENDED to do the surgery on (i.e., not life-or-death surgery) and got nearly identical results, except that the people who DIDN'T get the surgery didn't have to recover. (I believe I read about this in Ode Magazine.)

Anyway, a placebo only shouldn't work on animals, but homeopathy does work on animals. So that alone should tell you something. The challenge with homeopathy -- as with any medical field -- is that it takes a good homeopath to achieve the medicine's potential. There are a LOT of factors to consider in order to prescribe the right medicine.

Depends on your view of placebo. Obviously, placebo helps many. So I would have to say, true. I believe it's based on the power of positive thinking which is similar to cognitive behavior therapy. Since that is what cured me of depression, I firmly believe in it. See my webpage on depression for a more detailed story:

I believe there is a lot of placebo effects from many, however, I have tried many and no matter how badly I wanted relief from my rhuematoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylosis, high cholesterol, high blood pressure, high sugar or low thyroid..I found nothing that really worked. Until I found a juice called Mangosteen! My cholesterol came down 70 points in the first month alone and am off all of my meds for everyone of the things I mentioned.

Not all of the mangosteen juices are the same tho, I take one named Xango and believe it is a miracle in a bottle to me!

Any questions plz ask!!

Try it .I think you'll like it!
That is like saying gasoline to my car is a placebo effect that it runs. The body needs certain nutrients and when it get them the body is at ease. When not, it's at dis-ease and wants to be balanced. Everything in nature wants to be balanced.

I don't believe certain diseases can be cured either through drugs or homeopatic. Your symptoms may become better allowing your quality of life to be better. If this is achieved through homeopathic, you have no side effects. If this is through pharmaceuticals, you will have side effects. Which option makes more sense to try first?

The true cure is in preventing the diseases in the first place. US law 103-417 for example states that taking certain nutrients will prevent cancer, heart disease and osteoporosis, 2 of the 3 leading killers. http://www.fda.gov/opacom/laws/dshea.html

For this reason, I am a wellness consultant and would gladly accept help in spreading the word about prevention.
Homeopathy is a medical practice using medications characterized by four basic principles: similitude, dilution, dynamization, and personalization. To date, there is no scientific evidence supporting any of these principles. For this reason, careful examination of clinical evaluation of homeotherapy trials is the only pragmatic way of evaluating the value of the "homeopathic pharmacy". Many clinical trials have been conducted over the last decade. Clinical trials are not however a prerequisite for marketing these medications since the legal authorities do not require proof of efficacy for marketing authorization. Unfortunately, these trials (which are rarely favorable), often present methodological biases which compromise the readability of results and the validity of conclusions. Both meta-analyses and individual trials performed in a broad spectrum of clinical situations exclude severe disease and do not provide data suggesting these products are effective or reproducible from one team to another or over time. For this reason, and at the present state of our knowledge, their use cannot be recommended.
Hello. I do not agree with you. I am French and have once in a while need of this homeopathic stuff. For flu, during my pregnancy time (sleeping desorders, nausea.), for my new born baby and for his siter of 5 years.
I use it since many years and it works for simple things.
best thing is that you try it yourself. I won't harm you if it does you no good !
