which is more healthier and safer to use. Tylenol or Advil?
Question:
Answers:
Tylenol is hard on the liver (an overdose will destroy your liver), Advil is hard on the stomach and kidneys...neither is completely without risks.
Check with your doctor to find out what's best for you, and never exceed the dose on the package unless directed to by your doctor
Other Answers:
I'm thinking Tylenol is a little harder on the kidneys, so I'd say Advil.
Advil is better. Tylenol is acetaminophen... it's bad for your liver or something
advil because it's not as hard on the kidney according to my doctor and it doesnt make you drowsey
They are both good. Advil is sodium based, so if you are to avoid sodium, stick with the Tylenol.
Depends. I'm asthmatic so I can't take Tylenol so that defiantly isn't healthier for me.
Assuming you have no liver/kidney problems, either one would be safe for you to use. If you need to take either one a lot, then alternate them.
Tylenol is excreted thru the liver.
Ibuprofen (advil) is excreted thru the kidneys.
Over-use of either of them is bad business. I've taken care of terminally ill patients who had damaged their livers or kidneys from over-use of one or the other.
Most hospitals use Tylenol (acetominophen) for elevated temperature or pain. You should never take more than 4000mg in a 24 hour period. It is very toxic to the liver, Advil is also a good pain reliever (it has muscle relaxing qualities) & helps relieve inflammation. It too, has a recommended dosage that should be followed. My opinion is they both work equally well for elevated temperature, but Advil is a much better pain reliever.
Actually Tylenol is better. Here is a website that explains everything!! Hope I could help!!
nothing that comes in pill format is really good for you. if you take pills(any kind) every time you get sick you body wont build up an immune system to take care of the problems on it's own. when you get sick your body has to figure out how to fight it so you wont get sick as often. if you use these pills in moderation, like you should it doesn't matter which is better because your body should be able to put up with moderate amounts of anything in either of them.
With any type of medication that you consume, there will always be risks. . .
I wouldn't say any are "healthier" or "safer".
You use Advil (Ibuprofen) for high fevers and extreme pain.
Tylenol you can use for things that are not that "bad", i.e. cramps, muscle aches, mild headache.
BOTTOM LINE:
Acetaminophen: Mild aches and Pains.
Ibuprofen: Intense aches and pains.
advil is better but in my oppinion tylenol is probably slightly safer, but if you take both as directed at over the counter dosages they are both pretty harmless so i wouldnt worry about it and just take whatever works best for you
