want to know if medicaid covers Zinc Oxide Ointment USP?
Question:
Answers:
State funded medicaid programs usually never cover medications that are available over-th-counter unless they are available in prescription form also (like claritin and loratadine or Prilosec OTC and omeprazole). The rule is probably state specific. Regardless, you would need to have a prescription for it to even attempt to find out.
Other Answers:
im not sure, but i know you can buy it over the counter for a buck or two though you might as well do that instead of getting it as a prescription, its under a variety of brand names ask a pharmacist for help if you cant find it
there is a prescription grade zinc ointment.dr. gave it to my baby and his medicaid paid for it.but every state is different.best way is to call any pharmacy and they can look it up for you
