Aloe vera is great for small cuts and burns. It's very soothing.
You can break off leaves and use the sap on minor scrapes or burns. Aloevera plants are great to keep in the kitchen for first aid.
use them to blacken your hair
just break open a leaf and spread the goo (cellulose) on your skin. it is a naturally soothing material and needs no alteration to act as sunburn relief.
break off one piece of the plant, and cut or tear it the long way. This will make the aloe inside start to come out. Apply the fresh aloe directly to skin, and bandage. done.

Aloevera is a pretty magical plant. Know as the burn plant or medicine plant it is just that and more! You can actually put it through a blender (peel it first) and freeze the pulp in ice cube trays for future use if you have alot of it. Along with simple burns, sun burn etc, nothing serious, it is excellent for ulcers and colitis. Mix it with water or non acidic juices for either and drink it. Many people have experienced no recurrences of either.
Another thing, for a serious burn, use honey. No bacteria of any kind can live in honey. This keeps any infections from occurring. For very bad burns the Chinese mix the honey with ground earth worms. This provides the protein necessary for the growth of new skin with very little scarring. It works, I know, I used it on a burn from boiling water for someone.
You can cut a leave, and use the juice and pulp as a facial mask. Or you can remove the pulp from the tough leave, dice it, and use it in your stir fries. Alternatively, you can juice the pulp, and add some honey, or drink it as it us. With honeyed version, you can freeze it into popsicles into healthy snacks for yourself or children. Put in a few small diced pieces of the pulp for bite.
When you're sunburnt, place a few leaves in the fridge, then rub the cool pulp all over the affected areas to aide healing and provide soothing relief.
You can even boil the diced pulp and make jello or add them in other kinds of desserts. It's really up to your imagination to make full use of this miracle plant!
Good luck.
