Hayfever hell?

Question:
Has anyone successfully treated hayfever with alternative medicine? I already take anti-histamines, but the effect seems to be wearing off.

Answers:
I know its a nightmare, i find i can treat it with pills but then am completely out of the game for a few hours so is no way i can take them when am at work. I researched it because i want to try some natural remedies I am going to try eating local honey, you heard that one? A tablespoon of local honey bought from a bee keeper within 100k of you every day helps build anti bodies against hay fever. Caplets of Quercitin and stinging nettle from the health food shop can relieve symptoms. I heard Butter bur is good too and grass or mixed pollen pills. I am off to try ALL these things now, i also heard that kissing is good?! its meant to raise natural antihistamine in the body, hey who am i to question so am off to give that a go, if it doesn't work at least its taken my mind off the sniffling!

This is a difficult one. The best cure is anti-histamines. But there are other things you can do.

Wear large lensed sunglasses, if you are male and have facial hair, i.e. beard/moustache, keep it trimmed. Have short hair, or keep it tied back.

My main trigger is Stinging Nettle Pollen. I live on a farm and have to regularly deal with stingers. I wear long a sleeved shirt, gloves, dust-mask, wrap-around goggle and forestry helmet with visor. It does reduce the effect, but not completely.

Hi! I am successfully treating my sons allergies with Flax seed oil (it has an antihistamine ) and Hyssop and Licorice Root in the morning (another antihistamine and a respiratory herb) in the morning, and at night I just take the Hyssop out and add Chammomile ( also an antihistamine). I am at Windstarhealing.com if you have any questions. Best to you!
