natural remedy?

Question:
i can feel that iam coming down with a cold, the worst symptom is at nght when my nose becomes fully blocked. my throat is also sore does anyone know of an at home natural remedy to relieve this?

Answers:
before you symptoms develop into serious events, do something strenuous like go running, jump rope, go outside and garden, etc. Basically, go outside and sweat. Sweat for about 30-45 minutes so your body can release and build more T-cells to help fight off the bacteria or virus in your system. you'd be amazed, i've used this method for years and it works for basic and common colds and some flu's. No guarentee but its worked for me and a lot of people I know.

i always do this get LOTS of rest drink lots of fluids and that helps me

You should try inhaling steam this will give u a relief but it is not the cure.
Cold always takes its time but for sore throat you can consult a doctor.

My grandma usually gives us ginger powder, honey and lemon just about a teaspoon for the throat and believe it clears it up for everything else we just take cold medications... hope u feel better It is also allergy season. Did you get this last year? Eat lightly, drink lots of fluids, take naps and get lots of rest, use vitamins and supplements. There are juices out there that are antibacterial, and promote wellness.

Check my profile. A steamy hot shower, and follow that up with the other suggstions.
Not only gargle with saline solution, but sniff or spray some into your nose.
Speaking of the nose, it has reflexology points
along the sides, so massage them from the base of the nose, up toward the bridge. I did this once and I was glad to be in a bathtub, because a wad of nasal discharge came out and drained my sinuses very nicely. One of the best remedies on the planet for the symptoms and cause of the common cold is Licorice extract. The stuff better than cortisone for inflammation, is a mild expectorant, and most importantly anti-viral. So much so that a recent study done in Germany demonstrated its efficacy against SARS virus, and other studies (search www.pubmed.com) demonstrate it is effective against HIV, Epstein-Bar, Herpes, Influenza, and similarly aggressive viruses.
