anyone had colonic irrigation, and if so what was your opinion of the benefits, if any?
Question:
Answers:
I am a massage therapist, and have some knowledge on it.
I have never actually had it done, but my friend said it was a little uncomfortable, like a pap smear, but maybe a little worse. It can help you lose weight, (2-5 pounds of hard packed intestinal content) and helps you absorb vitamins and pills, and nutrients from your food.
There are hazards, though, if you dont go through a licensed practitioner. I would suggest checking out the place, their sanitary procedures, and even beforehand, print out a list of sanitary procedures from a reputable website.. I'll see what I can find on it:

family members have had it done. A chiropractor diagnosed appendicits and prescribed a colonic. The symptoms went away.
Colonics are controversial because the notion is the intestine is able to do its job without external help. The notion is to clear the contents of the large intestine out. This is an addictive procedure in that you have trouble getting the intestine working again after a lot of colonics.
