What is ATHEROSCLEROSIS?

Question:
I just got a herbal tea for it. What is it?

Answers:
Clogging, narrowing, and hardening of the body's large arteries and medium-sized blood vessels. Atherosclerosis can lead to stroke, heart attack, eye problems and kidney problems.

honestly.
It's a condition of the arteries. It's when they turn pretty hard and force the heart to pump harder as the arteries don't expand.
Atherosclerosis is a condition in which fatty material is deposited along the walls of arteries. This fatty material thickens, hardens, and may eventually block the arteries. It is a common disorder of the arteries. Fat and cholesterol and other substances accumulate in the walls of arteries and form "atheromas" or plaques.

Eventually, this fatty tissue can erode the wall of the artery, diminish its elasticity (stretchiness) and interfere with blood flow. Plaques can also rupture, causing debris to migrate downstream within an artery. This is a common cause of heart attack and stroke.

Clots can also form around the plaque deposits, further interfering with blood flow and posing added danger if they break off and travel to the heart, lungs, or brain. Many physicians now suspect that there is an immune system component to the problem (inflammation may help cause atherosclerosis).

You'll find all the facts you seek.
Atherosclerosis comes from the Greek words athero (meaning gruel or paste) and sclerosis (hardness). It's the name of the process in which deposits of fatty substances, cholesterol, cellular waste products, calcium and other substances build up in the inner lining of an artery. This buildup is called plaque.
In short, it is hardening of the arteries. It results from the gradual buildup of deposits, or plaques, on the inner surfaces of the arterial wall. These deposits are formed from excess calcium, cholesterol, and other substances in your blood. Unfortunately, since this disease both affects your heart, or coronary, arteries, and it advances slowly over the course of decades, it is generally very difficult to diagnose; most people have no symptoms until they experience a heart attack, which is often fatal. The most common symptoms of chest pain and shortness of breath do not occur until after the age of 50. Smoking, high blood pressure, and high cholesterol are all inducing factors for CAD, or coronary artery disease, of which atherosclerosis is the most common cause. The reason that atherosclerosis is a deadly problem relates to the plaque in the artery. As it builds up, the space that blood has to flow through is gradually decreased, until it either gets to a point where there is no longer enough supply for the demand, or until the supply is completely cut off. Complete blockage is the worst, as this will cause almost immediate heart attack, and if not death of the person, then definite destruction of heart tissue. So, eat healthy, don't smoke, don't drink heavily, and exercise regularly. Remember the old saying, that even though you may not always appear as such outwardly, "You are what you eat."
IT is plack forming on the inside of the artery walls of the brain especially. Causes high blood pressure then strokes. I doubt that herbal tea is a cure.
Try mangosteen juice...............email me and I'll lead you to the info about mangosteen
There have been several major studies as to the cause of this arterial plaque. Did you know it is very uncommon in Africa but a huge problem for Americans , especially black Americans. What has been found is that the main culprits are refined carbohydrates. There is also some evidence that cows milk is not pasteurized correctly and leaves a harmful enzyme that has been linked. So to lessen chances of this protective lining to form over damaged artery walls, eat like your distant ancestors ate.
Which reminds me ancient corpses of humans ,frozen in ice show no signs of artery disease when autopsied.
