Is ear coning effective?

Question:
I've suffered for years with allergies and sinus infections. Last year I had infections in both ears and fluid in my ears for two months. Yes, I've been seen by an ear, nose and throat specialist. I clean out my sinuses with a saline rinse and it has been effective for me. Isn't there some way to clean the ears also? I've considered ear coning.

Answers:
I love ear candles and have been using them on and off for years.

It's important to not let them burn too far down because, yes, they can have wax drip on you. Also, make a hole in a pie plate and put the candle through the hole so that the pie plate stops anything that's dripping down on the outside. Keep the candle horizontal so that there's less chance of stuff dripping down the inside.

Have someone do the ear candling for you. It can be a family member or friend but it's not recommended that you try candling yourself since the candle might burn down too far.

Buy decent quality ear candles. I have different results depending on which kind I use.

But I love ear coning and do it regularly, like once a month, during allergy season. And I've seen a significant difference in what comes out with LOTS of gunk coming out when I started and less coming out now that I've been doing it for years.
Ear conning is very effective to remove surplus ear wax and fluid in ear also try sleeping with upper half of body raised as high as possible ( almost a sitting Position) and take a regular dose of echinacea to keep infection at bay
