Is it weird if I want to ask my doctor to give me a MRI??

I am 21. Since middle school I've always said I don't feel right. I use to joke about a brain tumor but sometimes I think I really do have one.Lately I have had more and more headaches like 4 times out the week that sometimes don't go away with Medicine. my vision is good except one eye is 20/20 and the other is 20/40. You don't usually see that. I tend to get dizzy a lot or my vision gets a little cloudy. Should I ask my psychian can I get a MRI just for a check up??

What's the best way to protect the upper digestive tract while taking antibiotics/antivirals?

Answers:
Every time you get an MRI you receive a significant amount of radiation so you shouldn't get them on a hunch.

The vision differences are not unusual at all.

Have you ever had a complete physical? That might be a better starting point.

How much vodka do I need for this combination of pills to help me sleep?

why dont you just make an appointment with a chiropractor first to see about the headaches.

get xrays taken first-they are a lot cheaper than the 2000 dollars that an MRI costs. If you have insurance , you have to have a condition that would warrant the use of MRI, otherwise you are just wasting money.

What is mean when a medication has a half-life?

Have you discussed the fact that you have a severely dominate eye with your physician? I too have a dominate eye (not as much as yours) but I also note headaches without the use of corrective lenses. I would rule out the possibility is due to eye dominance (which can also cause loss of depth perception, dizziness and nausea) before requesting an MRI. Good luck!

REIKI question?

First an MRI does not use any radiation. It uses a magnetic field many times stronger than the earth's magnetic field, and radio frequency. No radiation like an X-ray. In your case I think an MRI may be warranted. Not because of your history of headaches, but because of the increased frequency and severity of them. You may want to see a neurologist and get his/her opinion.
