Are the leave's selenium content affected by the amount of selenium in the soil where the tree is grown? (Is there a direct correlation between the soil's selenium content and the tree's leaves' selenium content?).

Answers:
Yes, depleted soil yields depleted crops. That's why agronomy came into being. Soil is tested to see what it needs and it is replenished, however, I don't think micro nutrients are often added.
