How much is massage therapy insurance? (rough estimate)?
Question:
Answers:
I get my insurance through ABMP. But there are a couple other associations that offer massage insurance. I pay $200.00/year for a professional level insurance. You mainly need insurance if youre self employed, working out of a business as an independent contractor, or your license requires it.
Other Answers:
It depends on what state you are in and how much coverage you want. Here in Texas it usually runs between 185.00.-,300.00 a year. If you work for a spa sometimes you are covered, but if your looking to be on your own then it is a very wise idea to be covered. Ask at your local massage school who they use or call your state board office. You may even be able to find something on the web for your state.
