I have a 89 yr. old uncle with a severe case of Shingles around his eyes. Is there a cure for this?

Question:
My uncle has suffered with this excuriating malady for some 3 or 4 years. Each day, several times a day, he suffers immeasurable pain over his left eye and forehead. Does anyone know what he might do to relieve some of this pain? Even a 50 % reduction in pain would be great. Please reply with serious answers and give reference material or websites I can go to and get the help he so deparately needs.

Answers:
I work at a vitamin store and I have cured people with shingles before. A cocktail of lysine, camomile tea, and a special vitamin c that has bioflavanoids and rose hips. Some of this stuff may be hard to find. I can express ship some to you if you would like. Email: shalise.ward@comcast.net

Im not sure if there is a cure, but I would try something herbal. Herbal is always better for anything. Try some sort of store with herbal substances. Best of luck to you and your uncle.

Typical treatment for shingles is a round of steroids and anti-viral medication. He should see a doctor. Shingles can be very painful if left untreated. I get shingles on my back and legs from time to time. They tend to re-occur in some people. The steroids speed the healing, and the anti -virals help to get rid of the virus that causes shingles ( the same virus that causes chicken pox) Sometimes a prescription pain reliver may be prescribed (Vicodin or Percocet). As far as I know there is no OTC medications to treat shingles. Ibuprophen (Advil or Motrin) can be taken to alleviate the pain.
