Please help me..?

Question:
I have not been sleeping well for more than a month now. I only doze off for an hour or two close to the morning. Is there something I can do without seeing a doctor? I am looking forward to your advice.
Thank you so much.

Answers:
Seriously, your best bet is to see a doctor. I had insomnia for 3 years- I slept only 2-4 hours a night and it drove me crazy. The doctor put me on Ambien - which helped a lot.

There are plenty of over the counter drugs that you can take to help you sleep as well. Keep in mind though- all these drugs are "habit forming" - I think it is because once you start sleeping well, you start to worry that you won't if you don't take the drugs.

Are you staying awake because you are stressed out about things? You could also try meditation or something to clear your mind so that you aren't as tense when you are trying to sleep.

Good luck.

Why are you afraid to see a doctor? If you're having sleep problems this pronounced and this long-lasting, that's really your safest bet. You could have a serious medical condition.

this has been happening to me too, sometimes i take a pm med (like Tylenol pm), but am hung over in the morning.i think i'm not sleeping due to stress go to the chemist and get some sleeping tablets, but you shoul really see a doc they can find something for you

try having a glass of warm milk and a single dose of pain killers, like ibuprophen or tylenol before you go to bed. It will help you relax while you sleep. Or a drink of liquor works the same way.

without visiting the doctor you Can do many things.when you go to bed.don't think of anything.just close your eyes

you must drink more water.

You shouldn't be afraid to see a doctor.they could help your sleeping problem. Or try and take sleeping pills. as someone who only sleeps 2-5 hours a night, I would suggest getting as much exercise as possible (I mean really hard core exercise - to the point where you're extremely exhausted from physical activity). try massage, too. good luck - I feel for you.

I suffer form the same problem. Although I have had it for over a year now.

First of all, try natural teas like "Sleepy time"
You can also try doing something that will tire you two hours prior to going to bed.

Plan two- try some over the counter prescription with your parents permission if you are a minor and if you arent allergic to it.

If that doesnt work, I would suggest that you at least call a doctor.

See, Ive been told by my doctor that I probably have a sleeping disorder and thats not good at all. Had I caught it before, I would have not missed out on so much,

You see, the brain re-charges itself during your sleep. So if you dont get your sleeping dose, then you wont be as efficient. Just like forgetting to charge a cell phone and thus having low reception the next day.

Sleep well.zzzzzz

I have found relief from insomnia (2 years of it) using an all natural product with medical validation. Within 2 days of using it, I started sleeping through the night and all is well now.
