is there some ancient cure for mono ?

Question:

Answers:
Any cures, treatments, or medicines?
There aren't any cures for mono. However, there are some things you can do to treat your symptoms. For your headache and any pains take advil or some pain reliever. For a sore throat suck on cough drops or some type of candy. Also, it's very important to keep a well balanced diet and to drink a lot of fluids. The most important thing to do is to REST! There aren't any medicines to help you get over mono. Antibiotics will only make it worse, because mono is a virus and antibiotics can just make viruses even worse.

How long until you can get back to your normal routine?
Some people (mainly athletes) can get over mono in about a week or two. Usually it will last for about a month or two, but some serious cases have lasted from six months to a year!!

Care: Be very careful still after the symptoms are gone, because there still is a risk of a ruptured spleen. REST is extremely important.

I do believe it's viral can't do anything about it.
I had that earlier this year, it sucked bad!! Nothing but sleep for a long time, had different medicines for the throat pain but overall just sleep. Be careful not to overdue yourself if you or whoever you know has it.
Because mono is a viral infection, no amount of antibiotics will cure it.

Mononucleosis is a viral infection which can last from 6 days to several months. It is characterized initially by cold symptoms and persisting sore throat with negative throat culture, fever lasting more than 72 hours, with associated cough and occasional general fatigue. The patient should be kept at bedrest while febrile and as long as symptoms of tiredness persists. There is not treatment except high protein diet, rest and copious fluids
If you give the body what it needs for healing it will heal.
