What is the best way to locate and massage the teres minor muscle in the back?

I have some clients that like this area massaged and I am wondering if there are any therapists that have experience with this.

I am a certified massage therapist and my husband has trigger points in Teres Minor so I have some experience with this. With your client in the prone position and his/her arms close by the sides ,stand at the client's side by the shoulder that you will be working on. After warming the tissue, use a supported thumb and begin at the midpoint of the lateral border of the scapula in the area sort of between teres minor and infraspinatus. Press deep into the muscle tissue and SLOWLY glide toward the muscle attachment on the posterior humerus. I usually repeat this and stop on any trigger points until I or my client feel change. I continue to do this same stripping technique on the rest of the infraspinatus up to the spine of the scapula. I conclude with some passive stretches to the area. I hope this helps.

Well I am not a therapist, but I do know a little.

The teres minor muscle is located near the bottom of the scapula (shoulder blade)

There is one on each side of your spine and it stretches from the vertebraes to the Humerus bone (where your biceps are).

If the muscle is giving you trouble, use a vibrating massager if no one can massage it for you. Otherwise, I would say just working small cirlcles with your thumbs moving along the lower border of your Scapula.
