Is there a really good herbal remedy for migraines?

Question:
Just wondering if there is anything out there that is natural???

Answers:
There is no good herbal or OTC meds for TRUE migraines. Since the cause of migraines isnt fully understood, its hard to determine a remedy. Symptoms of migraines usually dont go away with otc drugs and so herbal (aside of illegal things like marijuna) cannot really help.
Orgasm and a hot bath
White willow bark is natures asprin don't know how well it works on migranes but head aches it works fine.
Migraines come due to too much stress or not enough sleep.
So just try to relax yr stress or stop thinking too much and get more sleep. Herb currently dun think so but pain killer might help.
Hi,
Feverfew Leaves is another herb that you can get from the nature section at the grocery store that helps relieve migraines. I've used it before. it helps!
It's not herbal but is called glyconutrients. It is safe and natural
People always ask for remedies and what they really want is a quick fix method.

As a people we have been conditioned that way: "I want it now"

Watch this short clip and see why migranes happens among other things: www.12weeks.info
Niacin. It's a B vitamin and works on opening the blood capillaries. The only side effect is a flush, similar to a sunburn but that goes away in about 20 minutes and once you're used to taking it you may not even get that. Just take 50 or 100 mg either in the morning or at night.

I take it to stop pressure and sinus headaches . and I haven't had one in over a year and a half.
Yes- feverfew you can get it at all natural stores. My daughter has migranes if she eats MSG and many fast foods use it, not just Chinese. She has experiences with Water Burger, chic fil a, most pizzas, mc donalds. The only fast food we found safe is Sonic. Anything with flavoring usually has it - all flavored chips etc.try avoiding MSG, my daughter has been head ache free for almost a year now and we went 3 years not knowing what was causing it.
majority of migraines are due to colon digestion o rpoor digestion, accompanying migraines there can be eye strain or poor/decreased vision.

If its headaches it could be due to heavy metals or synthetic chemicals, hormone imbalances, circulatatory problems, stress, sugar imbalance, structural misalignments.

Its figuring out what is causing it before finding a "remedy"

My wife puts Vicks Vapor Rub on her eyelids and temples as well as under her nose for a severe headache. Rick Fogle

I have suffered from migraines and arthritis for about 15 years. I finally came accross a "Chi Machine" which I now have a distributorship, and it has been almost a year since I have had any headache or suffer with arthritis. Any problem that I have, I go lay on the Chi Machine for about 10-20 minutes and the pain is gone. This machine is very expensive ($480.00 plus tax) but has paid for itself many times over. Any one interested in this alternative to medicine, please contact me at: chiforlife77@hotmail.com. I promise you it helps. It also helps so many other problems. Thank you. Debi Evans

Sinus Headache? My grandmother that was full blooded Cheerokee Indian use to get mustard seeds, put them on a cloth (long enough to reach around her head) and beat the seeds to a pulp, roll up the cloth and place the mustard seed pulp on her forehead and bring the cloth arround her head and tie the cloth in back. The hot heat she said would ease her head and not knowing what was happening (it opened up her sinuses allowing them to drain) said it would cause her "nose to run". The headache would ease and stop. My mother said she had seen her do this many times. when I was a boy of about ten years old I seen a rag tied around my grandmother's head but did not knonw why. I thought sense she was an indian she "just" liked it. Victor

For headaches; with you thumb and forefinger press the fleshy part between the thumb and forefinger of the other hand. Do this as long as possible alternating hands. If it hurts to press..that's good. Dora Schwemley

I have discovered that 'nasal snuff' especially 'Wilson's medicated no. 99' is great for warding off the type of headaches that can develop after a day's fishing and driving. It seems to create an outlet for the build up of tension and fluids caused by getting too much sun reflection as well. Try it - it works for me! 'Royal George' snuff is good for neck tention too. When one happens to out in the Forrest and develops a headache (assuming you didn't bring aspirins) Just chew on a willow twig. Aspirin is made with a base of willow oil. This also gives relief from a tooth ache. Gwen

Next time you have a headache just apply a little amount of bengay on the forehead and keep it above your eyebrow's. It works real fast in taking away the pain out of a headache or a migraine.

No one knows what a migrain is until they have one!

WOW do people who answer these questions GUESSING here?? Again I say "No one knows what a migrain is until they have one!"

It might help to go to your doctor and get that piece of paper that says you have migraines. Might come in handy later...
Here are some Natural Remedies for Migraine
ok you can do feverfew and b complex and calcium/magnesium suppliments. as a word of warning some people are allergic to feverfew and the allergy symptoms coupled with the headache make you wish your head would just blow up and get it all over with.

chocolate works well if its not a trigger for you -- get bakers semi-sweet chocolate and eat bits of it. i get chocolate that is made for putting in hot drinks made by goya. it comes in bars and isn't very processed so the sugar isn't smoothed out -- its weird at first but kind of yum after you get used to it. they make latin food and its usually in the latin food section of grocery stores if you have one. the key here is you just want chocolate with minimal additives. nothing with milk solids.

a good strong cup of french coffee works for me too. (thats espresso roast made in a french press -- not french roast folgers)
